Cancer Cover can help reduce the financial stress of living with cancer. It gives important breathing space to focus on what really matters...recovering from the illness.
While we may not like to think about cancer, we are all aware of its medical implications and the dramatic effect it could have on our lives. But have you ever considered the financial consequences of living with cancer?
Increased medical costs coupled with potential reductions in earnings due to long periods out of work, could have a significant impact on your finances. While there are a range of specified illness plans available to cover diagnosis of a range of defined conditions, this cover can be expensive.
In general the top 2 illnesses; cancer & heart attack account for approximately 80% of all specified illness claims paid. Cancer cover is an affordable alternative to the wider coverage available on specified illness plans.
Cancer Cover is available to anyone aged 18 to 60, subject to underwriting. It pays out a cash lump sum if you are diagnosed with cancer during the term of the plan, as defined in the Policy Document.
It is important to realise that some cancers caught in their early stages would not be eligible to claim under the cancer cover plan.
Types of cancer that would ordinarily be covered include:
- Breast Cancer
- Prostate Cancer
- Gynae Cancer
- Testicular Cancer
- Malignant Melanoma Skin Cancer
- Stomach Cancer
- Lung Cancer
- Bowel Cancer
